FUNCTIONS OF TESTOSTERONE

TESTOSTERONE

It helps in the development during puberty in males.

A steroid hormone produced by the interstitial cells that stimulates the development of primary sex characteristics in males such as sex organs and reproductive structures. Also responsible for the development of secondary sex characteristics at puberty such as facial & body hair, muscle development, and a deeper voice. In an adult, testosterone is responsible for maintaining secondary sex characteristics and stimulates spermatogenesis
